Why read it, from our head evaluator:

"This devotional is in a league of its own. Jenae meets readers in the quiet places of the heart—the places where we are carrying questions, disappointments, and circumstances we cannot control. Her warmth and wisdom create space for readers to slow down, truly encounter Scripture, reflect with intention, pray with heart, and apply the truth of God’s Word in a personal, accessible, and unique way. Jenae Alexander has a gift for presenting the Word with humility, friendly warmth, clarity, and tender, thoughtful prose. Her reflections invite us to seek hope from God, and to know the God who is Himself our hope. This devotional will bless anyone walking through seasons of suffering. It offers a needed reminder that our circumstances are not where our hope lies and calls us to fix our eyes on the faithfulness of our Saviour, who will never leave or forsake us. It is a beautiful invitation to lift our eyes upward and anchor our hearts in Christ, and to be changed as we abide in Him."

Why read it, from our head evaluator:

"In a culture where our children are constantly confronted with questions about faith, science, and truth, Michael Peppers has created one of the most accessible apologetics resources I've read. What makes this book so exceptional is that it never forces readers to choose between intellectual rigor and heartfelt faith—it wonderfully weaves the two together. Written from the heart of a loving family patriarch, it equips families to engage difficult questions with confidence, humility, and biblical wisdom. Whether you're raising children, discipling grandchildren, leading a small group, or simply wanting to better understand why the Christian faith is both intellectually credible and deeply beautiful, this is a resource you'll want to add to your library and return to again and again."

In a kingdom of pink castles and endless treasures, one little princess discovers that none of it can fix the empty place inside her—until a sparkle in the creek changes everything! Amy Sun's Heart of the Kingdom is a sweet, beautifully illustrated fable that turns a simple bedtime story into a child's first glimpse of the Gospel, written from a mother's heart for her own little princess. Charming, tender, and profound, it's a storybook little girls will ask for again and again, and a discipleship tool that parents will treasure reading aloud.

Category: Children's Books (Illustrated)

Why read it, from our head evaluator:

"Few children's books manage to be both genuinely magical and theologically profound without being preachy. Heart of the Kingdom pulls it off beautifully. Amy Sun never preaches at little hearts; she trusts the story to do the work, and it does it well. Amy's fairy tale lines up with Scripture at every turn instead of softening it, and it is written with the timeless, once-upon-a-time charm of classics like Aesop's Fables. The artwork is absolutely precious, the rhythm is made for bedtime read-alouds, and the closing note to parents hands moms and dads exactly what they need to walk their own little princesses toward Jesus Christ. Underneath the sparkle and the pink castle is an amazing discipleship tool, clearly created by a loving mother and Jesus follower after God's own heart."
