"Before entering the Christian Book Excellence Awards, I was on the verge of stepping away from writing altogether. Despite years of effort, my sales were minimal, and the ongoing demands of marketing were disheartening. As someone living on a pension, submitting my book to the Awards was a significant decision and felt like a final attempt to validate my work. Receiving recognition from the CBEA was profoundly encouraging. Almost immediately, my book sales increased, rising from only six sales in three years to nearly one hundred in the eight months following the award submission.
